As a United Church of Christ congregation, education is vitally important to the people of Shadow Rock. We open our minds and hearts to new ideas, we study the Bible, we learn about issues important to our community and world, and we enrich our lives with fellowship and new life-skills. At Shadow Rock we are not afraid to ask the deep questions of faith and recognize that we do not have all the answers. The Adult Education Team strives to offer meaningful and diverse offerings to meet the varying needs of our congregation.

Sunday morning Education Hour
Classes are offered each Sunday morning during the Education Hour. Class presenters are often Shadow Rock members, and guest speakers from the community and other faith backgrounds are also scheduled. You can find the complete list of classes in the Adult Education brochure which can be found in the church office or pew backs.

Special Offerings
Please check the Adult Education brochure, Sunday Nuggets, or church calendar for offerings scheduled outside of the Sunday morning Education Hour such as weekend workshops, movie nights, special guest speakers, or weekday Bible studies.
You've never been?
The people who attend adult education classes come for different reasons. Some attend regularly, enjoying the fellowship and new experiences; some attend only when a certain topic appeals to them or applies to their life. Remember, you are welcome to any class at any time!
You don't know much about the Bible and might feel out of place?
Shadow Rock is a welcoming church and that includes our education classes. You will fit in at any Bible study or class regardless of your previous knowledge. Questions and discussion are things we encourage.
What about your kids?
Shadow Rock offers an experiential Sunday School program for children preschool age through sixth grade that takes place during the Education Hour (9:10 a.m.). The junior-high and senior-high youth also meet each Sunday morning. Infants and toddlers are welcome to quality childcare in the Blue Room of the Education Building.
