Profound Journey Dialog / Contemporary Theology
The next PJD event will be in November 2010!
Currently, Profound Journey Dialog (PJD) is a program offered through the Institute of Cultural Affairs/Ecumenical Institute. The Ecumenical Institute was the progenitor of RS-I (Religious Studies I). We are fortunate that three of the long-standing members of the Institute, John and Lynda Cock and Terry Bergdall, will come to Shadow Rock UCC in May and lead the PJD weekend event.
The Profound Journey Dialog intensive weekend experience will present the four basic theological images of RS-1, which have been foundational to Shadow Rock's identity, core values and sense of mission. The concepts are the same but the presentation will be very different as contemporary teaching methods will be employed. Also, it will be essential for anyone from Shadow Rock participating in the PJD weekend event to follow up as a group on May 23rd so as to "Shadow Rock-erize" the concepts.
